Sasha is a Russian Moscow-born beauty. Since her childhood
she preferred drawing to any other activities, and wanted to make that her
career, until she went to study at the Russian State university of the
Humanities, where she met her best friend and husband Igor, who was a
photographer. He in fact was the one to sent a few of Sasha's pictures to IMG
Models in 2005, and started her modelling career.
Two weeks on, Sasha was opening the Prada show. She not only walked the catwalk that time, but Miuccia Prada loved her so much, that signed Sasha up to a three-year Prada campaign contract. And two years on, Sasha was on the cover American Vogue, opening the shows for Rag&Bone, Chanel, Rodarte, Dior, Elie Saab and Valentino. In 2008 Sasha was invited to feature in the Pirelli calendar, and a year later French Vogue included her in the list of the 30 most influential models on the Naughties.
Sasha and her husband Igor live in New York, Brooklyn, in an apartment which more resembles an art studio than a conventional home. She is still drawing, all the time, in between the shows, backstage, on walks, and museums...and Sasha is also illustrating Karl Lagerfeld's book, based on the Russian Fairy tales.
